ARRIVAL OF RED MACHHINDRANATH

  Rato Machhindranath is revered as the god of prospenry harvest. It is believed that this god was brought from Assam to end the 12 years long drought in Kathmandu valley. An n fact is that the drought was believed to be a curse of the gre saint Guru Gorkhanath baba, who was angered by the valley after they denied him alms.
