Ashok Binayak

In the Kathmandu valley, there are four Binayaks located in four different corners of the valley. Among them, Ashok Binayak is considered the superior one. In the local dialect, it is known as Maru Ganesh. Faithful offer their prayers to this deity before embarking on a journey or a business venture for safety and good luck. It is said this temple was constructed during the ancient period. It bears a marked difference in design to other temples around, as it does not have the conventional pinnacled roof.
