TEEJ

 The Haritalika Teej is an important festival for the Hindu women that falls on the Nepali month of Bhadra. Married women observe fasting and worship lord Shiva for longevity of their n husband. Unmarried women also ii fast and worship Shiva wishing a for perfect partners. It is believed  that goddess Parvati had also o observed fasting to have Shiva as  her husband. On the eve of the ix fasting, women eat Dar (variety  of fruits and sweets) to prepare ti for the next day's fast. They wake  up early in the morning, take bath  and offer prayers at Shiva temples. The festival goes on for three days. The last day of the festival  is called Rishl Panchami.
