After Kathmandu and Pokhara, Sauraha is the most important tourist destination of Nepal. Sauraha is located at Bacchyauli village in the eastern part of Chitwan strict and it is famous for observation of various wild animals and birds. The swan National Park is rich in natural beauty and biodiversity. Sauraha offers a niblude of activities suited for the entertainment of the tourists. It is possible to *serve different wild animals and birds in their natural habitat. Sauraha is located 7 km from Tandi along the East West Highway that is kated some 162 km west of Kathmandu. Flight from Kathmandu to Bharatpur airport, which is 11 km away from Sauraha, takes 25 minutes. Regular tourist buses depart to Sauraha at 7am from Kantipath, Kathmandu.
