SHIVA-PARBATI TEMPLE

The temple of Shiva-Parbati which boasts a fine example of Newari woodcarving skill, is located near Maju Dega. This two storied temple was built in the 18th century by King Ran Bahadur Shah. There is a statue of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parbati overlooking the courtyard from the window. Inside this temple, there are statues of living goddess Kumari among others. It has an open pavilion,where different public events and cultural shows are staged.
