SHIVAPURI HIKING TREK

 ihivapuri Nagarjun National Park is situated on the northern fringe athmandu valley and is the ninth national park in Nepal which was blished in 2002 and named after Shivapuri Peak of 2.732 m (8,963 ft) ide. It lies about 12 km away from the center of capital city. It covers irea of 159 km2(61 sq ml) in the districts of Kathmandu, Nuwakot Sindhupalchowk. It is the primary catchment source of the Bagmati, iumati & Yashomati Rivers of the Kathmandu Valley supplying 30 Do liters of water daily. The source of the sacred rivers of Bagmati, numati and Yashomafi are enshrined in the temples of Baghdwar and nudwar visited by pilgrims every Nepali New Year's day. Trekking tes to Nagarkot, Gosainkunda, Helambu and the Langtang National passes through this park which offers excellent awe inspiring views e majestic Himalaya. Within the park's forests are Pines, Oaks and Dodendron trees, Shielding ferns. Moss and a large variety of grass wildlife that includes Jungle cats, Himalayan Black Bear, Leopards the Rhesus Monkeys. Among the 177 species of birds that are found including 9 endangered species like kalij Pheasants, Booted and c Eagles, Sunbirds and coming Hill Partridges.
