The story goes that King Bhupatindra Malta commissioned the iction of Nytapola temple in the 17th century on the suggestion of tnc priest to overcome the nightmare the king was having from lord in his dreams. The priest had advised King Bhupatindra Melia to itemple dedicated to goddess Siddhilaxmi, who was also the guru Bhairav. It is said the king himself participated in the construction apola temple.
